As a beloved honeymoon spot for us and the famous ‘City of Love’ – Paris is our favorite city in the world. From the gourmet food to the stunning surroundings, it’s no wonder why the capital city of France has been a hub for culture and indulgences since the 17th century!

Paris is organized into 20 arrondissements (neighborhoods) that loop in a clockwise spiral around the city. Each district is unique and has its own identity.

Most tourist attractions will be found in centre-ville near the 1st arrondissement, such as the Eiffel Tower, the Louvre, Arc de Triomphe which flows into the Champs-Élysées, and an all-encompassing Seine River Cruise. On the East side, you’ll find Le Marais (the 3rd arrondissement), which offers an authentic look at Paris with many traditions intact and contemporary spins.

Our favorite area is the artsy northern nook called Montmartre (the 18th arrondissement). Here you’ll find vintage vibes, quaint cafes, and the Sacré-Coeur (the sacred heart of the city). By day, you can peruse art galleries and museums. And by night, you can enjoy a Cabaret Show at the Moulin Rouge, or find a hidden speakeasy-like No Entry or L’Experimental Cocktail Club.

South of the Seine, you’ll find the historic Latin District (the 5th arrondissement) which dates back to Roman times and has a completely different energy than any other part of the city. Notre Dame sits on the Île de la Cité, an island in the middle of the city, next to the beautiful Sainte-Chapelle. And while Paris is divine, some of the best things to do can be found just outside of Paris. Check out daytrips like the palaces of Versailles, Monet’s gardens in Giverny, the Champagne region, and the château-filled valleys of Loire.
